May This Sunday Bring You Many Laughs..
Sometimes we just need to stop, and shamelessly laugh at everything.
The flood of politics has been getting to some people, so they are creating distractions. I know that it has effected me, and the things I write about and post in multiple different ways. Now that the bread and circus of Washington has become “Global” pop-culture, these topics are almost unavoidable. These distractions are quite a breath of fresh air.
This seems to be a great time for #Memes, these little magical images convey so many things in one quick view. You get an image that is worth a thousand words, and with a bit of context, and a few words it's endlessly impactful. They can bring on a flood of emotions, and trigger nostalgia in a way that not many things can. Don't ever let people tell you that magic isn't real, when we know that millions of people can be swayed by a very simple single image.
Use this magic for good, and not to divide people. I forget to consciously do this myself at times, I will see a post or something that is just so offensive, or triggering that it gets shared almost instinctively. Well, that needs to change, the focus at all times should be bringing people together, not trying to share the next bit of posted anger or anxiety. There just seems to be so much of it.
Will we ever be able to open our phones, or laptops again and only see funny videos like the infamous “Cats Vs Cucumbers” montages?
Yeah, remember these.
Don't Google “Cat Vs Cucumber” now, you might just get something far different….. 🤨
If memes, or funny video montages don't do it for you, there is always stand up comedy. This one is my personal favorite for changing a dark or shitty mood. There's nothing quite like laughing at some persons real life events laid out in the form of humor. Especially when it's something awkward that is highly relatable. For this particular style of stand-up Josh Wolf is the man. His son is also a great comical storyteller.
This guy is just an average Joe, or Josh… 🤔 either way, his real life events make for some of the best standup comedy that I have seen in a great many years. I hope you can enjoy it even if it's only half as much as I did, you will laugh your whole ass off. Almost every father who has raised a son into their teens, knows this exact moment and the awkwardly comical feelings that come with it. He redefines the whole term “dad jokes” and turns it on it's ear.
I hope you had a good laugh at one of these, if so please be so kind as to share that laugh with someone who needs it.
