Should this be bigger news?
The County Computer Systems everywhere including those of County Clerks offices, and Library systems are being attacked. One is in a city where Trumps federal case is being held.
At first I began to find this as I was looking into the Library computers being down in our neighborhood, primarily it was because my 6 year old is anxious to to get a few specific books. It had already been over a week since the library system has been down. I wasn't very specific with my search at first, and just asked Google “What happened to the library computer system?” What I began to find when I started searching almost immediately deeply disturbed me. How has this not been huge news? From Michigan to Florida, and into Canada the Computer systems everywhere have been hacked, attacked, or crashed in some way. It seems to have started right before Halloween and is still going on, and now it is actually happening in even more areas.
There is no way that all of these local news agencies are running these little local stories about it and none of them have connected the dots. There are pages of search results with different ABC news affiliate stations all covering it happening to their Local Clerk of Courts, and Library while not noticing that it's also happening in multiple neighboring areas simultaneously.
Am I wrong to think that this is being highly under played?

A lot of these hacks have been popping up lately. On the 7th I awoke to find a notification from Paypal that I'd been charged something like $75 and I was like "The hell?"
It was through Sony Computer Entertainment (I have a PS4) and I'd been locked out of my account. I had to call Sony, get them to reset my password, which I let a password manager randomly generate my new one. Then I changed my password to Paypal using the same method, got a refund on it and set up 2FA for my account on Playstation. I've barely used my PS4 in the past year or so, favoring tabletop games which can't be hacked.
Spent the better part of my day cleaning up that mess but it's all good now. Weird that so many more stories are popping up like this. Odd also considering that one of the attacks was at a US branch of a Chinese bank. That one really caught my attention.
