The Calm Before The Storm.
Milton approaches Florida's West coast, and the local residents are clearly in fear of what this Hurricane will bring.
Tampa Bay…
What can be done for the local people ahead of a storm of this magnitude. A storm that has now been recorded as one of the top 4 strongest hurricanes in recorded history. Not much as far as preparation can be done. Boarding up your homes windows, and securing the pets and livestock is just about all you can do. The wind will be fairly bad, even at a Category 3 with winds of 129 mph. But that isn't what the storm numb Florida natives are fearing from this storm. In this case it's the predicted storm surge, and we will get into that in great detail in a few minutes. Let's first dissect the mentality of a person who lives in Florida, and has seen multiple hurricanes, and no I'm not talking about this guy.

Most long term Florida residents like myself have seen so many hurricanes, that a category 1 - 2 is just a fun reason to throw a party. When it gets to Category 3, we begin to feel a little bit different about them. This is when we board our windows, get the generators, gas stoves, and flashlights ready. We stockpile canned foods, toilet paper, beer, and cannabis. When it gets to a Category 4 - 5, well there is no planning or preparation for something like that. We try to prepare, don't get me wrong, but at that point it's like voting and hoping for real change. It's going to do something, but it's probably just not gonna do anywhere near what you expect it to. Hurricane Milton is one of those storms.
The last Time that the Tampa / St. Pete area got a storm of this magnitude was in 1921, and they had an 11 foot storm surge come nearly half of a mile inland. It moved boats, trees, stores, and homes from where they were sitting, and shoved them inland a half a mile. At that point in history, the Tampa Bay area only had roughly 100,000 residents. The very same area now houses over 3 million people, and the expected storm surge Hurricane Milton is 15 - 20 feet. The area of a hurricanes impact just south of or below the eye wall, will receive the highest level of storm surge. On its projected path, that impact will be directly to the Metropolitan Tampa area.
The only suggestion that I can offer to the people who live within 2 miles of the coast, is to evacuate. I understand that some residents simply do not have this option and that could be because of many different factors, like having elderly family members who can not leave, or because their jobs require that they stay. For those poor souls who can't evacuate, all we can really do is pray.
Hurricane Helene Let Us Know. . .
We as Americans are all learning a very valuable set of lessons while we are sitting at home, still watching the live streams of nature's absolute destruction caused by Helene. The people who were affected most were promised help from FEMA. From Ashville NC, to Chimney Rock, and Bat Cave, many of these people lost everything, literally. Whole farms still full of livestock, local stores, and hundreds of homes were swept away in the rushing food waters. Even many houses that sat above the 1,000 year flood line, were wiped from the earth with the residents still in them. There are multiple reports of people who lost their entire home who survived and are now applying for the promised $750, and getting approved for less than $300. In one instance a woman who lost not only her home, but also her parents and 2 of her 3 children was getting approved for $38. They can be seen on the YouTube channel “ON Three” speaking with the hosts in several of their videos. Along with the Justin Rhodes YouTube channel showing the live footage of their farm falling apart, and washing away in real time. The local Homesteading folks’ footage is absolutely shocking. I will believe the video of the people there who are live streaming the neglect, and Emails with insignificant amounts approved to them sent by FEMA over people sitting on CNN or FOX News any day.
Meanwhile our mostly peaceful and unaware President Joe Biden, is doing press conferences telling their potential voters all over the US, that and I quote “the Hurricane victims are getting everything they need.” This is a slap in the face to the tens of millions who have witnessed this, and an even bigger slap to the millions affected. The worst part about that claim, is that people in California and New York are believing it. Then they are taking to social media, and actually blaming the Hurricane, and the governments failed response to it on Donald Trump. With some going as far as saying, that because of climate change that was activated by Donald Trump, these storms will continue to happen. Then continue with, unless you vote for Kamala. Seriously!! Then what? Let me guess, she will somehow magically stop climate change, and the hurricanes will also stop. These idiots somehow can not wrap their minds around the fact, that this Administration could literally issue more relief money with an executive order. They are convinced that Congress is in leave, and it can't be done. They can do it the very same way that they issue those massive $80 billion aid packages to Ukraine, without congressional approval.
Conclusion :
The Tax Payers of America contribute to a system, specifically so there is aid for other American Citizens in these types of situations. When you ask these victims, they do not care what fund FEMA pulls it from, or where the government allots it, as long as they are getting help. They aren't. Now those people are fully pissed off.
The simple fact that American Tax Dollars are going overseas to Europe, the Middle East, or even to non-citizens in America, and not to the Tax payers in need, is the entire point.
Israel Aid - $17.9 Billion from Oct. 2023 through Oct. 2024. (PBS.org reporting)
Ukraine Aid - $108 Billion from 2023 -2024 (Reporting CFR.org)
Aid Housing Immigrants - Jan. - Oct. 2024 just the “housing aid” was $640.9 million. According to (FEMA.gov reporting) this does not include the food assistance, or Cash assistance funding.
Hurricane Helene Aid - $210 Million approved total, as of Oct. 7th 2024. (FEMA.gov reporting)
These numbers speak for themselves. Especially when you consider the people who are living through this, and posting videos with proof that FEMA only approved them for $300 out of the $750 that's supposed to be available. Or less. 🤔
My prediction, the real storm will happen at the election boxes, and we will see another Election like the Reagan vs. Mondale landslide. It will all hinge on their response to these hurricanes, both Helene, and Milton once it passes.

Our Sheriff's are Darth Vader level hard assess. We are all buttoned up, and have the metal lasagna on our windows.
Florida man should know that Uncle "Pedo Joe" and "Suck it to me" Harris have spent all of the disaster funds on illegal immigrants. They don't care about citizens. Florida man should hunker down and have a BBQ with some good Cuban food, and if the FAA and Black helo's fly over, take appropriate action. Florida sheriffs should know that they are the highest authority in a county.
