Millions of Unaware Citizens are Victims..
Most people do not even know what confirmation bias is, but they have almost certainly suffered from it.
Let's start explaining by defining it.
This terms definition has changed and evolved with cultural trends, just like the commonly used word “Woman.” As odd as this may sound, there is a confirmation bias, on the very use, and definition of confirmation bias.
Below is the Britannica definition, but for simplicity, the most common usage refers to the fact that multiple people can view the same thing, and have opposing beliefs on the facts within it. They do this by picking out only the pieces that confirm their current beliefs, and then often dismiss the remainder.
This very phenomenon is ancient, and is the very reason for different denominations existing within major religions. It is by all means not a new trend, but it may have just recently been politically weaponized.
Confirmation Bias :
A common psychology term, Confirmation bias, is people’s tendency to absorb information by looking for, or interpreting, only the information that is consistent with their own current beliefs. This biased approach to decision making is largely unintentional, and it results in a person ignoring information that is inconsistent with their beliefs. People are especially likely to process information that supports their own beliefs when an issue is highly important or self-relevant.

There aren't many people left in America, if any, who have not been victim's of the very real weaponization of this. You can roll backwards through the CNN, and FOX news coverage of the same base content, and see opposing facts, especially in the Bold headlines. The News personalities will often apply it when already responding to something covered by other news agencies who have already added their own confirmation bias, then as they cover it, the bias just gets further concentrated by their own.
Like the telephone game, this creates more diluted, and extreme jumps every time it goes through another person's bias filter. Eventually all nuance is lost, and the cherry picked parts are all that remains. This is why things like Twitter / X “community notes” being crowd sourced, are vital to filtering out the bullshit. It is also the reason that Facebook “Fact Checks” were instantly shown to be narrative driven. When the active Facebook users began fact checking the fact checks, we saw that the average crowd sourced info was far more factually accurate. So much so, that Facebook had to propagandize a new term that was coined just to explain their inconsistent, and factually inaccurate claims.
Instantly any posts, or shared media, that did not agree with the Facebook confirmation bias, was blocked, banned, or removed. In the beginning, this obvious censorship caused an uproar. People were pointing out that they were banned for sharing a link to Joe Biden’s 2020 official campaign webpage, with a quote from it written above. They were just pointing out things that Biden himself said he was going to do as President, like “Ending American fossil fuels,” that were not largely popular. They were factually accurate, and direct Joe Biden quotes, that were later deemed Misinformation, or Disinformation. But, at the time Facebook was in panic mode. They could not call it slander, libel, or even say that it was removed for being factually inaccurate, so they used terms that lightly insinuated they were false. Both of the terms Mis-information, and Dis-information, were used to make you think the information was not accurate. The way they are defined, and the way they were improperly used and abused, are almost polar opposites. If you are sitting there wondering, this is all relevant and intricately tied to the very weaponization of information media, using your very own confirmation bias. I promise you, we are getting there.
Because both of the terms misinformation and disinformation, eventually got their own confirmation bias, where half of the citizens believed they meant one thing, and the other half believed they meant something else. There had to be a new term. This is when the obscure term, Malinformation was born, and quickly propagandized into the media vocabulary, and popular culture circles. This one by its very definition can mean that something is factually accurate, but is still considered malinformation because the context information was changed from being private, to public. I'm not joking, or even being hyperbolic, this truly is how the genius that coined it actually defined it. 🤷🏼♂️
By these defined standards, any correct or true information from a closed door meeting, that later goes public is defined as Malinformation. So in other words, anything that you heard or saw, that you were not supposed to have learned about yet. Information that was inconveniently disclosed before it's intended birth date, is also malinformation. Regardless of their definition, and uses, they all had the same exact intended purpose. That was to sway the majority of the publics confirmation bias, but only in their desired direction. Which surprisingly was not to the political left, or to the political right, but instead steered them away from each other. The only narratives allowed, eventually became the fringe ideas of the 5% on the far right, and the fringe 5% on the far left. Intentionally forcing the remaining 90% into a voiceless vacuum with their bland, and moderate unexciting beliefs.
The Political Void.
This is my way of referring to the vast chasm, the one that has been created between the two fringe 5% political groups on either side, and the mainstream media that supports them both. Anyone becoming trapped in this void, especially the content creators, and regular social media users will instantly know what happened. They see that their average like count, or engagement numbers drop. Suddenly they also stopped getting responses from people that once engaged with their every post. In the beginning of this trend, let's say from 2015 -2021 they didn't say, post, or do anything that was to be considered extreme, so they began asking why? We got the answer to that, in the long running disclosure known as the “Twitter Files.” The CIA, and FBI did actually have people inside the major social, and news media companies, that were silencing and throttling the most popular moderate voices. When they did this, the only voices I live and in the news were fairly extreme, and it began to make normal people feel like they were out of the loop. Again pushing more people to reach out towards those fringe groups, just to feel normal and included. This even went beyond media into the field of healthcare. Where your choice to get a vaccine, was no longer based on the level of how dangerous the virus was, or how effective the shot was, and instead became about what the political tribe chose. Almost everyone was subjected to it. Millions of people fell for it.
They did not want to stop this, and unify us all. Their very actions tell us that they wanted the growing Divide, or “The Void” between the average citizens of the country.
This is the big WHY, that remains to be seen.
Yes, they weaponized news media.
Yes, they weaponized social media.
Yes, they polarized everything to do it.
It was done in hopes that eventually your confirmation bias, using the hand tailored and cherry picked information they chose to spread, would drive you into one of the fringe 5%
Yes, yes, and yes, but why ?
Is it all a distraction, so the Marxist Left with the idea that everything is based in a structure of oppressor vs oppressed, do not notice that the Political Party ruling every choice they support, ARE the oppressors ? ? ? Maybe. 🧐
Is it because the world leaders are shifting to a global communist structure, and they are just doing it slowly, regardless of what the citizens want, or how they vote ? ? ? Who knows. 🤷🏼♂️
It's nearly impossible for us to say anything with certainty, other than we can tell that it was all done intentionally. We only know this because of the amount of effort, taxpayer money, and planning, that went into pulling it off.
After you vote, please do leave a comment below. Leave anything from what your thoughts are on why this void keeps growing, to your opinion of the article itself. More of the normal, moderate voices need to be heard.
