No, I mean healthy fats are animal fats. That is why, when we consume excess energy, it is stored as saturated fat for later use when food is scarce. It’s illogical to believe that that process is also going to kill you from heart disease. I’ll leave it there though there are more reasons why saturated fats are safe to consume

Yes, there are both healthy and unhealthy fats in our foods.

There are and you have it backwards. The healthy fats are animal fats ie primarily saturated fat

You missed my point. I’m guessing by “healthy fat” you mean something like canola oil. It’s like I took a Time Machine back to 1979.

We don’t believe in this stuff anymore. Food pyramid. Low fat diet. We don’t believe it. This article was a tour de force in conventional wisdom.

How about this? The Amish have low rates of cancer because they get the measles as children, and that protects them from cancer later in life.

Oddly enough, in the all of the studies I read through for this, I don't think that was factored in or even mentioned. But, it's probably also adding to the widening margin of health differences.

Since watching Eli Yoder's videos, I've been starting to think that the Amish are on to something in a lot of areas. Maybe we're not theologically compatible, I'll grant that but damn, looking at these stats, it's hard to ignore.
